AC repair in Robstown.
A/C repair, heating and new American Standard systems for Robstown, west of Corpus Christi.
Robstown, inland on SH 44.
Robstown is inland, west of Corpus Christi on SH 44, with farm fields around town and the Nueces County regional fairgrounds on its edge. We come out from 3833 Saturn Rd on the Southside of Corpus Christi, west on SH 44.
Away from the bay, salt matters less. Dust matters more. Wind off the fields carries it into filters and onto the outdoor coil, and a dirty coil makes the system run longer to keep the house cool.
What we hear from Robstown.
Loud noise or shaking
A rattle, a grind or a unit that shakes. Turn it off if it’s getting worse.
Outdoor unit won’t come on
The fan outside sits still while the house warms up.
Running, but not cooling
A clogged filter or a coil caked with dust can cause it, and so can a failed part.
No heat
When a cold front comes through, we repair gas furnaces and electric heat.
An honest answer either way
Not every problem means a new system. If yours can be fixed, we’ll say so. If it’s worn to the point where repairs don’t make sense anymore, we’ll tell you that too.
If you do replace, our main equipment brand is American Standard. See the systems.
Questions we get from Robstown.
My unit is making a loud noise and shaking. Should I turn it off?
Yes. Turn it off if it’s shaking or getting louder. That often points to the indoor blower. Call us and we’ll get a technician scheduled.
If it needs a part, will the technician have it after hours?
Usually. Our technicians carry common parts like capacitors, contactors, motors, and refrigerant. Specialty parts or duct materials may have to be ordered or handled on a weekday visit.
I think I have a refrigerant leak. Can you just add more to get me through?
We can add refrigerant to get you cooling again, but that’s a short-term fix. The real repair is finding and fixing the leak. That’s best scheduled during regular hours, so the technician has the time and materials to track it down.
